Br . d . 9 Juli 1892 : Om Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records (FRBR / ˈfɜːrbər /) is a conceptual entity–relationship model developed by the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) that relates user tasks of retrieval and access in online library catalogues and bibliographic databases from a user’s perspective. From 1992-1995 the IFLA Study Group on Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records (FRBR) developed an entity- relationship model as a generalized view of the bibliographic universe, intended to be independent of any cataloging code or implemen- tation.
